Milia are tiny white bumps that appear on a baby’s nose, chin, or cheeks. Milia are common in newborns but can appear at any age.

You can’t stop Milia. And no treatment is needed as they usually go away on their own within a few weeks or months.

symptoms

Milia are most common on a baby’s nose, chin, or cheeks, although they can also appear in other areas, such as the B. in the upper torso and in the limbs.

Sometimes similar bumps appear on a baby’s gums or roof of the mouth. These are known as Epstein’s pearls. Some babies also develop acne in infants, often characterized by small red bumps and pustules on the cheeks, chin, and forehead that can appear with or without a milia.

The reasons

Milia arise when tiny flakes of skin are enclosed in small pockets near the surface of the skin.
