Uveitis is a form of eye infection. It affects the middle layer of the tissue in the eye wall (uvea).

The reasons
In about half of the cases, the specific cause of uveitis is unclear, and the disorder can be viewed as an autoimmune disease that affects only the eye or eyes. If a cause can be determined, it could be one of the following:
